TAKAZAWA Candle, a traditional Japanese candle (Warosoku) maker, creates candles crafted from plant-based raw materials. Established in 1892, the company is one of Japan's oldest candle makers, producing candles using techniques and materials that have remained unchanged since the 16th century. The wick, made by wrapping dried reed around a washi paper cylinder, produces a tall, intense flame and brighter light compared to modern paraffin candles. Additionally, the use of plant-based materials results in less soot and minimal smoke. Each piece has a small hole at the base and requires a candle holder with a vertical pin to keep it upright.
Each candle is wrapped and packaged individually is a simple stylish box. The candle can be used with the L sized Koma candle stand available here.
